GHS Powerlifting competes at S&S Meet



Gainesville High School Powerlifting traveled to S&S for the Ram Invitational Meet this past week. 

Thursday night, the Lady Leopards traveled to S&S for their 1st meet of the year. Rosemary Pena and Emma Thurman both took 1st in their division, Emily Constantino and Carolanne Condi finished 2nd, and Asia Sharpe finished 3rd. As a team the Lady Leopards scored 27 points and finished 1st place. 

For the boys, GHS Senior Johan Delarosa went 9 for 9 and placed 2nd among some very tough competition. Junior Anthony Henry placed 4th and the Leopards finished 4th as a team in the Large School Division which included such powerhouse schools as Everman, Princeton, Denison, Frisco Liberty and Sherman. Other Leopards competing and setting Personal Bests were Micha Sharpe, Harrison Dempsey, Gavin Emerson, Maverick Bowen, Robert Singleton, Jayce Morgan, Alex Susaita, Bredan Schneider, Charles Burk, and Jesse Coffey. 

The Leopards will be back on the platform this Sat for their home meet in the Gainesville Indoor Facility.
