Era seniors Briana Knabe and Sandra Christian combined to score 45 of the Lady Hornets' 47 points in a 47-36 road win over Muenster Tuesday night.
Knabe poured in 32 points, while Christian added 13 and hit three 3-pointers for No. 13 ranked Era, who improved to 17-8 overall and 2-0 in district.
The loss dropped No. 9 ranked Muenster to 22-4 overall and 1-1 in district.
Muenster took an early 3-0 lead, but it was all Era after that. Era led 12-6 at the end of the first period and 24-17 at halftime.
The lead grew to double-digits early in the second half. Muenster got as close as 6 in the fourth period, but couldn't get any closer.
The only other Era player to score, other than Knabe and Christian, was Maddie Chism who finished with 2. But it was the Era defense that proved to be the difference.
Muenster could never get in a rhythm and had one of their poorest shooting games of the season.
Martie McCoy led the home team with 16 points, Annie Anderle added 9, Kaitlin Hennigan had 4, Jada Binder scored 3 and Kaley Berkley added 1.
