The St. Mary's Mustangs went 3-0 to take the championship in the 7th Grade Division at the 2020 First State Bank Cooke County Shootout junior high boys basketball tournament Saturday.
St. Mary's started the tournament with an exciting 18-17 win over Lindsay, then defeated Callisburg 30-23 in the semifinals. In the championship game, the Mustangs got past Gainesville 25-19.
The Leopards won the runner-up trophy, Muenster took third place and Lindsay won the consolation trophy.
In the eighth grade division, Montague took the title with wins over Lindsay, Era and Muenster. The Hornets were runners-up, Alvord won third place and Gainesville was the consolation champion.
